The FLANDERS EZ Flow II disposable filters are specially designed to protect furnace and central air units in residential and light commercial applications. Both models have the same construction, except for the media retainer. The EZ Flow II does not have a media retainer, with the media itself adhered directly to the frame for non-metallic applications.
The frame is constructed from heavy chipboard in a one-piece design, eliminating corner separation. The filtering media is made from continuous filament spun glass, with a resinous bonding agent providing rigidity and resistance to media compression. The support of the EZ Flow II is designed to function without a retainer, with the frame adhered directly to the media, which has a light skin to make it self-retaining. Sealing is achieved with a resilient hot-melt adhesive running the full perimeter of the frame on both upstream and downstream sides, and the filter frame is marked with UL certification. These filters have been tested and classified as UL 900 listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
